We offer transom strengthening for boats receiving larger motors, repair, or replacement for those with too much flex or rot. Replacements and build ups can come in many different finishes : Stained varnish, sealant, or painted with the use of galvanized or stainless hardware. Additional options are available as well. We do not use pressure treated lumber due to the effects of corrosion on aluminum. All transoms are sealed with 3m's 5200 marine sealant. Basic setup's for smaller boats using trolling motors to 5hp outboards usually run between $35 to $50 with larger setups utilizing 15hp-35hp outboards with Stained wood using stainless hardware can reach between $150 to $200. Prices vary on the application, finish, and hardware.
